Safely Clean Carpets

Deep Clean Powder cleans up to an 8-by-10-foot localized area. Safely cleans carpets, including stain-resistant carpets, except special carpets like antique or oriental rugs. The powder works well on tough stains, including ground-in dirt. RESOLVE bottles are made out of 25 percent post-consumer recycled plastic.

Directions:

Before cleaning, test a hidden section of carpet for colorfastness.

1. Shake container vigorously before each use to maximize product coverage.

2. Sprinkle powder on generously to thoroughly cover soiled areas. Apply to no more than a 2-by-5-foot area at a time to prevent moist powder from drying out.

3. Using a soft bristle brush, immediately brush the powder thoroughly into carpet. Brush until all soil disappears. IMPORTANT: While cleaning, if soil/stain remain, apply more powder and continue brushing until soiled areas look as clean as the rest of the carpet.

4. Wait at least 20 minutes for powder to dry, then vacuum. Use an empty vacuum bag for best results.

5. To store, replace cap tightly. After use, rinse brush and allow to dry.

Works Well But LOTS more work than expected…. I saw the commercial and went looking for the product almost immediately. I have Berber(sp) carpet that’s chocolate brown with lighter colors. Local popular grocery store, out of stock. Target, nowhere to be found. Finally, I found it at WalMart. A plus is that it came with a coupon for a rebate of your purchase price. LOTS of work. Package says for 8X10 room, not on commercial. Should at least say for smaller spaces. There’s a four step process. First you shake vigorously to break up the powder. It’s recommended that you only spray about 2X8 spaces at a time. Next, you HAVE to brush it into and out of the carpeting. The directions state to brush out stains. Again, not stated in the commercial. That’s the harder, unexpected work. Next you wait for 20 minutes. NOW it’s time to vacuum. It’s also recommended to have a new bag in your vacuum or a cleaned vacuum for a bagless. This part is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. It took forever to get this stuff outta the carpet. Over and over again and I used a small handheld in some spots and an upright. At the very end, I had to open the window because the powder began to fly up. Some has landed on the furniture, thank God it’s leather for easy clean up. I think for the trouble I went through, I’d much rather just pay to get the carpet professionally cleaned. I think this product is best used on small stains or very small rooms with NO furniture. 🙂 Good Luck. I think I’ll pass on future purchases. Concept too good to be true.

Aviod this product if you like your vacuum! Forget that it really doesnt clean very well – I wouldn’t give it 1 star for all the work that had to be done to get this powder cleaned out of the bagless vacuum I had! Every filter including the hepa had to be replaced or washed and all the tubes, and spaces still have powder stuck in them after trying to clean them…. I called company to complain that there is no warning on label and all I got was “we’ll send you some coupons for resolve prodicts” — I’d rather have the money to get my vacuum cleaned!

NOT MADE FOR BERBER Hi, everyone. I too tried the Resolve deep clean powder. I decided to clean my hallway and the two rooms that have carpet. As instructed, I shook the canister for a few minutes and sprinkled generously. Then I took a brush and scrubbed it into my carpet. I waited 20 minutes and it seemed damp. So, I waited awhile until I felt it was dry. I vacuumed up the powder but didn’t notice change in color. The only change I noticed was the scent of the carpet, which was pleasant. After doing my children’s room and getting no results, I decided to do the hallway. I mean, the hallway gets ALL of the traffic! Once again, I followed the instructions and still came to the same result. I still have 2 bottles that are unopened. Maybe I will use it for my SUV carpet?In conclusion, maybe this product works on certain types of carpets. Unfortunately, I believe that berber is not one of the types.
