The Flexaust Genesis COML (Commercial) polyethylene duct hose, used for duct cleaning, carpet cleaning, and industrial and commercial vacuum applications, is a black polyethylene copolymer hose, reinforced with an integral polyethylene helix; it resists crushing and abrasion, and is very flexible for easy manipulation. A temperature range of -40 to 140 degrees F makes it suitable for applications such as residential and commercial vacuum cleaning and air duct cleaning, and the hose has a negative pressure (vacuum) rating of 29 inches of mercury (inHg). This polyethylene duct hose has double-profile helix construction to provide easy movement on surfaces, and the smooth interior assures efficient air flow. Flexaust screw, connector, and permanently welded (Polyweld) cuffs are available for this polyethylene duct hose.

Duct hoses are flexible or rigid tubes that convey gases, liquids, and lightweight bulk materials from one location to another. They are made from an array of materials that range from polyurethane and thermoplastic rubber, to PVC and aluminum-coated fiberglass fabric, and are typically reinforced with a steel wire or rigid plastic helix, also known as a “spiral.” Duct hoses are secured with hose clamps or U-bolts, and two pieces of hose are joined with a hose connector.
