Nested Crevice Tool and Extension Wand: Use for baseboards and corners. First, loosen the end of the hose. Grasp crevice tool and wand near ridges and pull apart. Turn the ridge end to center and push crevice tool into wand and place on end of hose.
Dusting Brush: Use for furniture, drapes and vents. First loosen the end of the hose. Place dusting brush on end of hose, wand or crevice tool.

A Good Machine… I bought this vacuum strictly for the basement(where our Home Theatre is set up). It was a pain in the *ss carrying our canister up and down all the time, so I happened upon this cleaner on sale at Home Depot for a mere $70.00… I was initially skeptical at first, I mean a $70 vacuum? However, I purchased it anyway, knowing that I would be able to return it if I wasn’t happy. The setup and assembly was fairly quick. The instructions were easy to follow and featured step-by-step illustrations. When I had everything ready to go, I decided to give it a “test run”, and I was impressed. I was amazed at the junk our Sears Canister was leaving behind, as I watched the cat hair and dust swirling around in the collection bin. My only complaint-and this is common with bagless vacs in general-is that you MUST clean the filter off after every use, otherwise they tend to plug up and overheat the motor. This is especially true if you have multiple pets, or longhaired cats. In conclusion, this is a good machine. Strong suction too. The attachments include an extension wand for above floor cleaning, crevice tool, and dusting brush. The dustbin simply snaps off in a jiffy, and the filter is washable/replaceable. This is what I like to refer to as a “second vac”, when you simply want a machine on another level in your home, without having to lug your main vacuum all over the place. I’ve owned it for about 5 months now, and so far, no complaints. Just keep it clean and you’ll be set. Also, pay no attention to that one review below. This is obviously referring to a totally separate model. I’m happy.
Read BEFORE Replacing – Great Cheap Vacuum This vac worked great out of the box, took about 10 minutes to assemble and worked great for the first year. After that it was all downhill. Also, never worked well on hard floors, and I don’t think it was intended to. This is a carpet vac, therefore use the wand on hard floors. Rated 5* for price to quality ratio.I’m going to say this vacuum has the “getting fat phenomenon”. You know how when you’re gaining weight, you never notice unless you look at old pictures or lose the weight and get “back to normal”? Well that’s what happened with this vac. I’d been figuring it was always crappy, or the carpet in my apartment was going to hell because it wouldn’t pick up lint, fuzz, hair, ANYTHING. It was basically only working on suction mode with the wand.This is because I was frequently cleaning the reusable filter, can and roller brush but it had a bad (NOT broken belt). Long story short, if you notice ANY burning smell, or lack of pick up on carpet with this vacuum, REPLACE THE BELT. Period. Replace the belt. Do it. I’m an engineer, trust me ;)How to use this vac:1. Empty canister after EVERY use. Even if it’s not full it will clog up the filter media quicker and require temporary decommission and washing.2. Bang/wipe the filter clean in an *outside* trashcan every couple of uses.3. Do above, then wash with a hose or high pressure shower head whenever you can’t get most of the junk out of the filter grooves. Use a little soap or some spray with bleach to disinfect and get the smells out.4. Replace the belt if any of the above conditions are noticed. This is because the axle coming off the motor has a tiny radius and no pulley. If the belt is worn, even if it’s not broken it will lose it’s ability to brush well. Unscrew two screws on top of the yellow cover for belt access – super easy!5. After you’ve cleaned the canister and filter, do your wand vacuuming! This is when the suction is at it’s most powerful. Clean your blinds, edge your floors, door sills before vacuuming your carpets.6. Occasionally dump a cup of baking soda on your floor and vacuum it up. This will keep the internals from smelling like feet and Fritos corn chips. Don’t worry about it blowing, the filter media is fine enough to contain the baking soda.I think those steps would generally help with any vacuum, but I think it’s more important with this vac because it’s on the cheaper end and suffers from poor motor to brush belt design. It also doesn’t have “no suction loss” technology.Please try these steps before replacing!***Also please vote this UP to save people from wasting money on a stupid new vacuum like I almost did.***
